I bought this for using at work to have a healthier
alternative to the cafeteria. It does the job and makes
the right amount of steamed vegetables for a single serving.
I'd estimate it takes at least about 1 1/2 cups raw veggies by
volume if not a little more. I followed the directions and
put inside the measured amount of recommended water, but now
I just turn on the faucet and put in what looks about the same
as the measured amount. I also reduce the power on the microwave to a medium high and follow the recommended minutes for the different veggies. I wrote on the bottom with a permanent ink pen the recommended times and water amount as a reminder for myself. After microwaving the directions say to keep the steamer closed for a few minutes. So far I've steamed broccoli/cauliflower/carrots and green beans in it with perfect results. Made in China

This steamer is small but that is exactly what I wanted. Good for one or two people. Easy to store. Steams beautifully. It has small holes/slats so even works well on finely sliced items like leeks. No nasty chemicals. Does what the manufacturer says it will!Customer Review: this product works great.

it is just what i needed for a single person. it is possible to cook all in one meal like, chicken, vegs at the same time. alot cheaper than buying the steamer bags.
