A meat pounder? We're not talking rocket science here. The Progressive International Meat Pounder does what it was designed to do, and it does it well. Before, whenever I needed to flatten a piece of boneless chicken breast, I'd reach for my trusty old 10-inch cast iron skillet. Unfortunately, cast iron doesn't know for nuance and varying degrees of thickness, so my chicken fillet never looked more appetizing than what it was - an abused piece of meat. My new meat pounder, however, allows me to shape and "work" my chicken breast into sandwich thickness or something appropriate for sliced chicken fingers. In addition, I can toss this meat pounder into the dishwasher to thoroughly clean it. I'm also finding that, as I try to prepare healthier meals, this meat pounder is being used more and more.
