I've used this nut cracker a number of times and found it does it's chopping duty just fine. As a minor negative, the top only has about 3/4 maximum turn to tighten which causes it to fall off from time to time. Don't bother with this one unless you only have occasional need with soft nuts. Works poorly on almonds; especially when frozen - tines even broke off. Only one thread holds cap and base, ended up with a cable clamp around it to hold secure.Customer Review: Nuts About This Grinder!

This is the best nut grinder I have ever used! Well designed and durable, gives consistent size nuts for use in baking. Non-skid base and good capacity. A present from my loving, smart husband!
