I love these hand grinder nut choppers better than the kind that you smash? down on the counter with the blades that chop the nuts. This is more fun and It is nice having the lid on top to keep the nuts inside. It is esspecially easy for kids to use if they want to help you chop the nuts for brownies or something and you don't have to worry about them getting hurt by open blades.Customer Review: Makes nut powder, not chopped nuts

This thing is useless. I ran some walnuts through it on its "coarse" setting, and most of what came out the bottom was powder; the rest were tiny, tiny pieces. I ordered this for my mom when she commented she wished she could find one to replace her old chopper, which just wasn't doing the job anymore. She'd been unable to find one in the stores. This chopper works perfectly and cleans easily. I bought it right after returning one which didn't work for me at all. The pieces of nuts it produces are the perfect size; you don't end up with a lot of powder like you do in a food processor. The handle turns easily, indicating sharp blades. The flexible plastic of the top and bottom should last a long time without cracking. The measurement indicators on the jar make guessing unnecessary. The only thing I would have preferred is that it were glass rather than plastic.
