I had one but it broke chopping almonds -- hardly a metal busting food item. Worse, didn't notice it was broken until AFTER I mixed the chopped nuts into the ice cream I was making. There were bits of metal in my ice cream, so I couldn't serve it.Customer Review: Easy to use chopper

Almost did not buy this chopper after reading the reviews panning this item. Bought it anyway and find that it really does a great job. Have used it on walnuts and cashews and it works fine. Haven't tried Brazil nuts yet but I will. It certainly beats having to chop nuts by hand. I especially like the storage aspect. If I chop more than needed, I leave them in the chopper and keep everything refrigerated until next use.Customer Review: Exactly what I wanted and it does a great job!

I had an older version of this grinder, but it was destroyed in a kitchen fire. This one is perfect for grinding nuts, etc. for all the holiday baking I've been doing this year. Super item! Thank you so much!Customer Review: Excellent but dangerous

Chops nuts better and easier than food processor or slap chopper, and cleans easier.
But sooner or later, a blade will break off and fall into the chopped nuts. It will be about a half inch long, sharp and dangerous. Unless you examine the chopped nuts very carefully, it will end up in your food and then in your mouth.
