Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Progressive International Can CrusherCustomer Review: Positives and negatives Summary: 3 Stars
Well I ordered and recieved this can crusher back in September of 2010. I had read several negative reviews that said it was kind of flimsy. I had also read several very positive reviews. So, I decided to go ahead and order it. Well I crushed approximately one full garbage bag full of cans worth before I had my first official problem.
My first thoughts:
The reviews that stated it was flimsy were right on. There are two colored parts to this, the grey parts are the crushing component and they are fine, no issue with them. The bottom half even has a bottle opener, go figure. However, the black moving arm parts of the crusher are indeed flimsy and have considerable sway. The foam padded handle was a nice touch and assured that I didn't get sore hands while using the crusher. However on Oct 19th, the handle broke. So I got about a month's use out of it before I had my issue. Haven't returned it, and don't plan to, I am going to jerryrig a solution to this.
A note on the seller, they were fantastic. However I would not recommend the product.
Customer Review: excellent customer service Summary: 5 Stars
After an initial miscommunication about delivery requirements, the Toolsworks peple went way out of their way to see that I received the item I ordered. I could not have asked for kinder, more efficient care from their customer service department. The crusher works great and appears to be made of very durable materials. It makes such a difference in the space in my recyling bin.
Customer Review: good but not very soft Summary: 4 Stars

Customer Review: i wish i could give it zero stars Summary: 1 Stars
bought the same exact item from a "harbor freight" store. it was complete junk. see how flimsy the arms are going up to the handle? after three cans these bars started folding over. i would have to rebend them by hand to keep them straight, and after about twenty cans the metal was so flimsy i just unmounted it from the wall and tossed it in the trash. avoid this product and any with this flimsy design. its by no means "heavy duty."
