I was so happy to receive this as a Christmas present to replace my ancient bulky crank version salad spinner. Last night the cord on the handle broke, and I am very disappointed. As I have read in other reviews, it wasn't due to overuse either. I am unable to find a website for the manufacturer in hopes of just replacing the lid. Worked great for the short life it obviously had. Glad I didn't throw out my old one!!Customer Review: Space Saving Salad Spinner

I got this at a BBB store in January and put it in the dishwasher for cleaning. It came out all warped. Went to go exchange it because I thought it was a defective piece. The new exchange was also put in the dishwasher and ended up same and disfigured like the first. It is a shame that this cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher especially when the box it comes in and video says bowl and basket is dishwasher safe. I will be exchanging it a third time because I like the space saving design. Now I know not to put it in the dishwasher for cleaning, just hand wash.Customer Review: Spin Out!

Anytime in the first few months of owning this product, I'd have happily given it 5 stars...it works well and takes up much less storage space than other spinners. Everything about it is designed well (including the fact that it all comes apart [even the top] for cleaning...a big improvement over the OXO) except for the cord that actually does the all the work of powering the spin action. It began to fray and then broke completely after several months of use. If Progressive would improve the cord-strength, it would be an excellent product.
