Customer Review: Good looks don't equal good product

I was excited to have found this type of sifter, but it hasn't lived up to its specifications. I put two cups of confectionary sugar in and turned the handle. Sugar flew everywhere! I had screwed on the mesh lid that is supposed to be for confectionary sugar. It wouldn't go through the mesh either. I was so disgusted with the mess that I have yet to try it with flour. It may work just fine with it, but not with sugar.
Also, the bottom is extremely hard to screw on and off so people with arthritis may have an even harder time.
My advice, don't buy this item. It's just not worth the money.
